Personality, pleasing God Only!

Character is everything!
Galatians 1:10 (KJV)
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Be you, because everyone else it taken!!!

I can remember when I first arrived to New York City. I already looked and dressed differently. My "swag" or what have you, was not the norm in the neighborhood.

But what I can say I noticed! FAVOR! FAVOR! FAVOR!

It was like a feeling of knowing that God has set me up. I am not sure you know that feeling but to expound. It was like being treated like royalty. Everywhere I went people were offering me things on their expense. :) You are royalty by the way, but to actually be treated as such is another thing.

It was also like being the new person on a college campus. People are going to love you or hate you. When the different store owners saw me walking by or stopping in just to say hello, it looked like their day was made happier.

Mind you New York is not this vicious place that people make it out to be, there are really great neighborhoods and people that are so helpful. Just be careful/mindful of their motives!

I am not sharing this to show off. I am sharing this because of a sweet spirit God has given me within. The Holy spirit. Allowing your light to shine with just a smile. Using your time as valuable as it can be to stop and say hello means a lot to people.

Think of it like visiting a prisoner in jail, or surprising your child with a cupcake at school or receiving a random check in the mail or even just a gentle text to help you through your day.

You don't know how you affect people, that is why going with the flow, being attentive and remaining close to God is the best way of survival.

I keep hearing that being in your twenties is all about finding where you belong in the "Circle of Life", I saw The Lion King on Broadway recently, your identity can be found in Christ Jesus.

Back to your Character! I was taught to obtain the knowledge of the fruits of the spirit, study and aim to be like Christ the Savior.

Galatians 5:22,23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

I tell you aiming to live with the fruits of the spirit has helped me understand family, friends, acquaintances, and myself.

Its like these 9 words withhold so much power I can actually say life is a bit more maneuverable. Even the bible says there are no laws against these. AWESOME!!!

The message bible says it well:

Galatians 5:22-24
22-23 But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
23-24 Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified.

No one is perfect! We are all a work in progress and we all fall short of the glory of God. BUT!
James 1:1-4 (KJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Starting today to make up in your mind to behave better than before and react wisely and work in decency and in order, your life will change. Taking the time out to breathe and seek God can fill up the very thing in you that has been missing.

1 Corinthians 14:40 (KJV)
Let all things be done decently and in order.

The message Bible:
39-40 Three things, then, to sum this up: When you speak forth God’s truth, speak your heart out. Don’t tell people how they should or shouldn’t pray when they’re praying in tongues that you don’t understand. Be courteous and considerate in everything.

Everyone has a testimony. I share bits and pieces but if you know me and ask me I will definitely share with you. God has been so good to me I can not tell it all. So I just live my life as an individual understanding where my help comes from.

Psalms 121:1 (KJV)
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Always keep God first and He will cradled you in His loving arms. He holds tomorrow!

Lessons: Ouch!

So there are a plethora of topics that I want to discuss in this post but I am going to get through this one in particular.

Headache as I type. -____-

So I got into an altercation on this beautiful evening where it lead to me walking away twice.

Way out of Character for me because I am not one for drama. I like peace and joy and happiness. Rare but lately often dramatic people have been coming around me. Definitely taking me out of my comfort zone. You know the person that can not stay calm under pressure, the one that has a fight with someone then carry the anger around with them and lash out at everyone else, the one who is insecure, the one who don't know how to politely talk in a professional manner? Well that is not me but that definitely was an individual who blatantly disrespected me and called me out of my name, (It was racial, I won't share what he said!)

There is more to a story but the moral.

Lately God has been teaching me to operate in Love so I was thinking 'you know what, the persons words were so minute that they rolled off'. I was able to walk away from a situation that was heated. I don't have a temper or anything. I am a problem solver not maker.

All in all. I was thinking I passed the test on love but later it was brought to my attention that I failed the test of Pride.

Let that sit a bit. A lot of things could have happened. I didn't have to go back to the dude the second time. I did not have to say anything about the Facebook message.

I didn't know things would escalate the way they did but everything happens for a reason. Pride is tough to deal with.

This is a lesson many of us fail. :) Sadly! But

Keep living right it pays off now and it will continue in the end! Keep God 1st! Love You!I am determined to get it right. People take kindness for weakness which is detrimental on their part.

Which is why some people handle certain people a certain way. God does not like UGLY, I have been told over my years.

We must choose our battles. The bible does say vengeance is the Lord. So we need to aim to live like it and stay out of trouble.

Words can and do hurt. But you don't have to accept everything you are called!

"It is not what you are called, it is what you answer to!" -someone intelligent.

SN: The trouble Jesus was in was not his own. He died for you and me and freed us at the cross.

The Dead Lives & The "I AM" Speaks :)

So a lot has happened between August to November. I was not focused on writing because I was working and sleeping. A bit lazy, huh?

Well, during September the weather began to change and I was still figuring out the latter of the year which I stopped that and just focused on God. After being told that I was accepted into multiple projects which all got cancelled... smh My life took a turn then God became the center focus once again!

I heard a word!!!

I heard a word I would say around the beginning of October teaching about DEATH is a SEED! :)

Woah!!! Wait!!! TO die is to go through a cocoon stage???

Did you know a Caterpillar digests itself... Google it!!!

But back to the topic. The story I heard was about Lazarus... JOHN 11:11-44 PLEASE READ!!!

If you do not know who this man was then you are not living.

I am unsure if he was the first person to die and be brought back to life but HE DIED Completely. And came back to life because of Jesus our Savior.

I will post the notes in my notes section of this blog but you must hear me out!

The breath/air of life LEFT him. Talking about a second chance!!!

He and Jesus were friends!

Jesus was told that Lazarus had died and Jesus said a lot of things in this particular story in the bible but the very first thing he said is what matters the most!

The preacher mention a principle about "Firsts Words".

Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

Lazarus life gave God Glory. He was a living vessel for the body of Christ and God was able to use his life. Lazarus had an awesome reputation. He was well liked in the community. When you read that other people came to the house to mourn with Mary and Martha it shows that Lazarus had respect from friends and residents in their area. Great Guy!

Also, I found out that Mary was the same woman who cried tears on Jesus feet and wipe them with her hair. Seriously!!! Listen to Ce Ce Winans song called: ALABASTER BOX
Then read LUKE 7:36-50

Who are you? Who am I?

In a different sermon!!!

I heard something so profound!
At the burning bush with Moses, God said, "I AM, That I AM."
Why? because God knows who he is, we are the ARE NOT'S!!! We don't know who we are. God is the only "I AM"! WOW!!!
Read Exodus 3:13 when Moses is learning who God is and what his task was going to be, which we know of, getting the Israelite's free up out of Egypt! Read all of Exodus 3.

I have heard a lot of powerful preaching this Fall!!! There is more to come! I will continue to write and share.

I pray you have a church home and that God uses you mightily and that you will become a part of God's body that will be effective here on earth!

Jesus is LORD! God Is Good all the time! Become a worshiper!!!  Praise Saves!!! Find your quiet place and focus on the Kingdom of God read your Bible and get to know our Savior more and more. You must be a part of this movement. It is not too late! Love you and God Bless!!!

Met A Thirsty

When God is about to show you something there is this peace that comes suddenly, so you won't react
out of character or maybe it just happens to me!

So I was talking to God and I am like: ‘I am ready to date.' All I can do is laugh!

So out walking, I stop for no one so this guy catches my attention and I slow down I am thinking he
needs directions or something, he looked lost! Lol!

He asked me a question, but it was a conversation started and lame pick up basically!

I was taken back by him but in every relationship it's like what can you add to my situation. Think about it everyone is in a situation and depending when someone comes in your life it's the subconscious question or maybe conscious question: “Why have you walked in my life?” Short season, long season 2 day season or what have you!

Proverbs 14:8 The wisdom of the prudent [is] to understand his way: but the folly of fools [is] deceit.

Proverbs 16:16 How much better [is it] to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be
chosen than silver!

Proverbs 24:7 Wisdom [is] too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

Anyway he wanted my number so I had him put his number in my notes section. Ladies you must let
some men know that they are optional. I usually don't do that but for this guy, something was smelly about
his spirit. He had a shiest-like smile, bamboozled type. I was like, I will think about giving him a chance.

Ladies we must know how valuable our time is. DO NOT continue to waste your time, Please!

So, I sped off to my meeting.

When I got home and got settled in, I remembered the dude from earlier. I text him through my google
voice! LADIES get a free extra number! For business! and for NO goods! smh!

I met some really great men and I have really great guy friends.

This dude definitely needed to lower his standards spiritually. I will tell you what he told me:

1. I own my own business in a nice neighborhood.

2. I am a young successful black man, I have a car, tell me about you.

3. I tell my friends they can't have sex with me, they would feel privileged.

4. Come to my house so I can cook you dinner tonight.

5. Give me a hug?

6. Why won't you hold my hand in public?

7. I go to church too, I am not telling you which one.

8. I have my bachelors, I am not in school, but I am going to get my masters.

9. You don't don't want to see me again?

10. I don't want to go to my bar on my day off.

He almost said this foolishness in that order! lol

Immediately red flags flying, flares on fire, written in the sand "No Go", a cloud in the sky spelled "Run"!
Maybe not all that but you get the picture!

Dude was thirsty!

He said these things when we met up. (Ladies ALWAYS meet in PUBLIC places!) Mind you we were
suppose to go get something to eat. He couldn't spot me on the crowded streets and he began to get
frustrated. Then he came up to me and was not the beat but I disregarded. Already in my mind I was
thinking this is the last time I will see him!

So he changed plans in that very spot on the sidewalk and was like, "Lets go to the shoe store, I need
some new shoes". I was disgusted. This dude is older than me too. So walked with him just to find out a
little more about him and those things above that was said to me. We only walked two blocks and I got
ghost!

LITERALLY! He kept walking straight through the crosswalk and I walked to the right into a store and
stayed in there until I knew he was gone! He began calling me, typical! I did not answer. I left the store and went home.

Girls, when you feel uncomfortable leave! DO NOT stick around. Nothing good will come of it!

Just when you tell God something silly its like the silliest things come! When I got home I was able to go grocery shopping and took care of my errands instead of some immature guy wasting my time. Hun life
keeps going even if you stop.

Don't miss a beat girls... Don't let unfit people take up your time! Don't fall for what someone is saying
out of their mouth. ACTIONS speak louder than Words! Even spiritually allow God to reveal the person’s
motive like he did for me. Praise God!

Who knows if the dude actually has what he said?! I was not sticking around to find out. His motive wasn't right and he was not connected spiritually because he would have known I was uncomfortable and would have done something about that. But since it was all selfish motives and pride nothing happened!

Especially not lunch! Thank God I ate before I met up with him.

Proverbs 3:5&6  <---- I live for this verse!
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH.

Girls and Guys we must stay close to God when dealing with people in general. Everyone is a gift to Somebody. But along the journey we don't have to drop our wall and allow everyone that take interest in us, come in and destroy what God is building! These flaw people are always lurking with selfish motives. Got to be more careful. It's a spiritual battle, remember that!

John 10:10
THE THIEF COMES NOT, BUT FOR TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY:
(the other half of the is verse I love!)
I AM COME THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE, AND THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE {IT} MORE ABUNDANTLY.

ALWAYS KEEP GOD FIRST LOVE YOU! JESUS IS REAL!

Death: Replacement

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

All right, touchy subject! I was originally going to make this post about how to deal with death. I have had people close to me pass away and the people left alive are the ones that must deal... So breifly, its ok to mourn it's okay to remember the happy times, it’s okay to sit and cry out of the blue as long as you are not making the death the center of your world. Death, I was told is beautiful, it can be hurtful, and disgusting and detrimental, but it can also be a relief.

Deuteronomy 24:16 (KJV)
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

The Bible mentions death throughout. Here a few scriptures I am familiar with:

Isaiah 57:1 (KJV)
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

Ecclesiastes 3:4 (KJV)
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Psalm 30:11 (KJV)
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

These are referring to relieving a righteous person from evil, another is about timing, and still another is about rejoicing and being able to celebrate. Everything lines up regardless! We never know the cause unless God reveals it. If you ask the Father in heaven He will definitely let you know. :)

Revelation 20:14 (KJV)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Imagine not being able to die?! Play if you want to. #Thatisall

Now on to one of the greatest deaths ever!!!
OUR SAVIOR JESUS Christ! I have heard this gospel preached multiple times and I can not get tired of it. I remember a pastor expounding on how wonderful and gracious and priceless it is to send your first born child to save your corrupted creation (instead of flooding us, Thank God for the Rainbow in the Sky)! There is an amazing "Love" (agape love) involved to allow your only begotten Son to go through the ridicule, the pain, and death threats and temptations of the world, and of the “enemy”, which is satan.

Genesis 9:14&15 (KJV)
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

I often heard growing up that it’s going to be you against the world and that's because it was like that for Jesus. I was also told, you must stand for something or you will fall for anything!

The baby Jesus to be Crucified on the cross, and Jesus to rise on the third day! Jesus’ story is told within the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The first four books of the New Testament. They each expound on different parts of the life of our Savior Jesus Christ. Take time to read them. :) It will shock you like it astounds me. This story is sacrificially mentioned in the Old Testament as well; so read the entire Bible. (I'm still working on that myself!)

1 John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I don't know about you but over my life thus far I have heard: "Die to the Flesh"! It's like, What?! But it's saying don't yield to your flesh. Meaning, don't allow your flesh to make decisions. Ask God first, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.

We must daily drop our agendas and pick up Christ’s Cross and follow Him. The Fruits of the Spirit?!

Galatians 5:22 & 23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

We are to aim to be like Christ walking in Love, being Joyful, living with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Being able to suffer for a cause, gentle, good stewards, walking and operating in faith,
being meek and able to control ourselves in every area i.e., habits, temper, eating, emotionally, etc...

Galations 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of
the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Romans 6:11
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

To die unto sin is to make up in your mind and heart that you are going to do things the right way. Anyone can be bad because we were born into sin! Not many can be good. Just being good will not get you to Heaven, you must be saved and have a relationship with Christ.

Psalms 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

It's a daily fight! We walk through temptation every day. Jesus is the truth! We must repent and forgive daily!

Back to death: Baptism! "A watery grave", having an outward showing for the repentance of the remission (relinquishment) of our sins!

Romans 6:4 (KJV)
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Ephesians 4:5 (KJV)
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Great Bible reading about God's Saving Grace and leaving and returning:
The Prodigal Son Luke 15:11-31

Great Bible reading about a man who was raised from the dead:
Lazarus - Jesus said, "Come Forth"! John 11:1-46

Keep God at the forefront of your life and you can't go wrong. Jesus Died literally and Rose again in three days to save sinners like you and me. :)

But, You're Invited?

It's funny how God will bring you to wanting the basics! Tonight I cried a few times. You know how you
invite someone close to you to church and they say they are going then up to the point where it is time
to go a change of events happen. Funny how that works!

Luke 21:8 (KJV)
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
Matthew 22:9 (KJV)
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
Hosea 9:17 (KJV)
My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
Well, I visited a different church for the first time, alone, which is nothing new and the entire sermon
was for my friend who I invited who was not in attendance. People know when God is tugging on them
to get their attention.

The service consisted of three powerful testimonies from three different walks of women in different
areas in their life.

I was crying because I could relate to them. Then after the testimonies, the pastor began preaching
regarding people that are lost and don't know they are lost.

He mentioned a fire truck pulling up to your house. You don't know you need the firemen services
because you don't know about the fire you are in. Meaning you are lost and don't know you are lost.
There is a Savior but what does that mean to someone who doesn't know they need saving.

Matthew 18:11 (KJV)
For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Ezekiel 33:9 (KJV)
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Proverbs 4:27 (KJV)
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Isaiah 65:12 (KJV)
Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
I found myself sitting between a lady who kept looking at me out of her peripheral and an Asian lady
who claps off beat. You wonder why God allows certain things to happen.

Tears were falling throughout service and the Asian lady who kept clapping off beat during praise and
worship, when it was time to do alter call she wanted someone to go down with her, everyone else was
not understanding her, so I went down with her and she asked Jesus to come in her heart.

Now back at the seats, we lingered after service because she was telling me who she was. I was like Lord
why?!

I won't share too much but lets just say: Lord what do you have up your sleeve?

So I gave her my contact and she explained to me how she is writing a news letter regarding "spiritual
transformation". I was like, ‘nice’!!!

She shared with me that she wants to become more serious about God. Previous years she saw her old
self coming back and just this year she is deciding to live renewed and let her “old-self” completely die.

After we spoke I wanted to go and get prayer because our conversation made me check myself!

Mark 8:35 (KJV)
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
We tend to carry our past with us and allow it to make decisions for us. THE PAST IS ALWAYS FIGHTING TO STAY PRESENT! Just to make things clear.

After prayer I realized that I was dropping the ball somewhere and that I wanted more of God because
in his presence is where we find peace. When God shows you where you really are in Him and who you
really are, it doesn't feel or look good at times. It makes you want to drop everything and fall on your
face and just marvel at how good He is.
Psalm 44:6 (KJV)
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
Psalm 59:2 (KJV)
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
Distractions are everywhere and all the time. God knows what you can handle. When you get tired of
dealing with some things, you make your petition to Christ and fervently pray and God will move on
your behalf and make provisions.

Luke 22:40 (KJV)
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
James 1:2 (KJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Timothy 6:9 (KJV)
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
You are free and I am free! WE are NOT our past!!! We have new mercies daily to walk in righteousness.
Daily we make decisions to appreciate our savior and choose to do things that are according to his will. If
you want to know where you are in Him he, if you ask, He will show you!
John 8:36 (KJV)
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Romans 8:2 (KJV)
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
John 8:32 (KJV)
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Isolation: All By Myself

I'm tickled by we the people and our opinions. Some opinions you take with a grain of
salt and some you actually pay attention to. Wisdom is Key.

Isolating yourself is different from when God isolates you. Want to know how--when you
find yourself alone and want to seek God more. That is different from when you don't
get along with people or you are shy and you are not the best at communication. It
happens.

I noticed that at one point in my life I isolated myself.

I remember another point in my life that it was God isolating me.

You remember the whole ordeal fooled me once shame on you, fooled me twice shame
on me. Well, this is close to my explanation. We need to learn how to pass the test the
first time around so we won't have to go back into the same situation we just left.

Stay with me: Isolation!
Proverbs 18:1
Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh [and] intermeddleth with all
wisdom.

Reason for Church:
Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but
exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

I remember moving off to college. I had a vehicle "black beauty", I had my class
schedule set, I had my own room and I knew only 2 people! I would try to make it to
social events during my first semester, but I was also working, so I missed out on a lot.
But it didn't matter to me because the activities that everyone was participating in did
not interest me. I became a home-bodied kind of girl. You see, back home, there was a
beach and I had my home-girls so I was out all the time and we were all over the city.
But as for college, I went to class, went to work, went to church, and went home. I didn't
linger after class or talk after church to people and relationships from work stayed right
at work.

I began to think college was boring. It was like everyone wanted to just club and drink,
in which drinking was never a part of my diet and I was so over clubbing because I got
that out of my system years before. I was strictly business going into college. After I
found out that my life depended on how attentive I needed to be. I had zero tolerance
for games. So I isolated myself!

What happened after that, other students began to notice me and they were wondering
why my grades were good. They began trying to have a study group with me. Boys
began to try to talk to me. I didn’t allow my grades to go down, I graduated with honors;
even dealing with the temptations that came along with surviving college, especially an
HBCU.

Another time I was isolated besides my 23rd birthday that I don't want to remember. Lol!
When I moved to The Big Apple after graduating my first three months I closed myself
off from getting to know people or getting around. I had no family in NYC, not much
funding, and doors closing left and right. But God!

During this time I was seeking God all the more, like never before, for directions and
any king of instructions. Every now and then I kept second guessing if I was suppose to
even be in New York.

This reminds me of a prayer: I asked God to teach me how to love and hear and
appreciate him more. Well, they that wait on the Lord! Lol! Because God was all I had.
My parents were supportive but they were miles upon miles away.

When I was sick they would pray for me and made sure that meds were available, when
I would cry, because things were so difficult, they would talk to me, and when I needed
guidance they would pray with me. But God!

Seeking God:
1 Chronicles 16:11
Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.

Psalms 119:2
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole
heart.

Zephaniah 2:3
Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment;
seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the
Lord's anger.

Hosea 10:12
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground:
for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

God was there the entire time. Probably laughing at me, not in a bad sense, but
because He knew how strong He made me and I was acting up! I would talk and laugh
with God and say aloud: ‘I know you have not brought me this far to leave me.’

God was there comforting me, healing me, I was becoming bold and full of courage. I
was patient, and still am! I was reading my bible more and constantly praising God. It
was no joke. I felt like Daniel in the Lion’s Den or Paul and Silas in prison. I had to
praise my way through. God was my only way out.

Daniel in the Lion’s Den
Daniel 5&6
Paul and Silas Praise in Jail
Acts 16:25-40
These two stories are a must read. The one tell of what your belief in God can do and
the other tells you that your praise can set you free!

Isolation can be phenomenal! Just be careful its God ordering your steps and not you
taking control.

Always keep God at the center of your life!

Jewels/Applesauce/Pocketbook?

Girls we are taught that we are Jewels, well some of us are! But if no one in the whole
wide world ever told you, guess what? You are such a Precious Jewel! :)

I'm going to use girls because i'm speaking to the entire female genetic make-up of
humans. lol Every female is not a lady or a woman!

But girls we are SMART! SHARP! ON POINT! But then again...

I see girls all the time being emotionally thirsty! Craving attention!

Yes, we are extra emotional beings sent to carry the burdens of our “Aunt Flow”, “End
of a Sentence”, or “Cousin coming to visit” or whatever you call your time of the month
and child birth and the keeping together of family. All that on top of saving the world and
wanting world peace, aha!

Girls we are so important to society that it is not even funny! Do you know how
important you are?

I hear girls talking about getting quick money or sleeping with this boy or that boy and
how she initiated everything (touching on him, mmm hmm don't act like you don't know
what I’m talking about). It's really sad now that I look back at my life at the guys I talked
to. I didn't mess with them, "talk to" for me is literally talking. When they started talking
foolishness I would walk away from that whole situation. My friends were like, “Dang girl
a new one this week?” And I was always like, ‘Girl if you only knew!’

We know when guys are trying to go further with us, but some of us don't know how to
control our hormones and emotions. We just allow whatever to happen...Not A Good
Look! I'm also guilty as charged!

Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God.

Our body's are suppose to be Holy and acceptable to God. I know virgins in their 20's
and they are beautiful, confident, and are waiting for the “right one”.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service.

Matthew 7: 6

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before

swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

This was a lesson about judgment but it fits for this topic! Don't give your body,
something Holy, to dogs, we can say unfit individuals!!!

What makes a person FIT??? SOMEONE WHO LIVES FOR GOD AND THEY ARE
SAVED!!! AND THEY MARRY YOU, FIRST!!!

My words are not for everyone!!! What has me discussing this: young girls who sell
themselves short, young girls getting abused, young girls who think they can't do better,
young girls with low self-confidence! I have been there and done some of that. Some of
it happened to friends of mine, or I observed with my own eyes or someone shared in a
mere one on one conversation!

How do you find this Guy? YOU DON'T GO SEARCHING FOR HIM! You must go
searching for God!

Matthew 6: 33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.

Luke 12: 31

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.

ALL- does that mean some? Nah, everything God has for you will be given to you, but
you must put God FIRST. Pretty self-explanatory but if you need me to expound,
definitely leave a comment and I will share!

Scriptures about a girl who did not give up her jewel/applesauce/pocketbook until
marriage:

One of my favorite books in The Bible, about 10 Chapters!!! It’s about a Virgin who
became Queen, and because of her obedience she remained Queen! The Book of
Esther-Old Testament.

The Book of Proverbs is really awesome regarding a Virtuous Woman. It is in verse 31
Old Testament of the Bible.

The Book of Ruth regarding a strong woman in the Bible-Old Testament.

Rahab (knew how to cover men and keep their secrets) was cool so search her and
Sarah (Abraham's wife) in The Bible.

Spiritual Seductive Book in The Bible: Song of Solomon is about LOVE, ADORATION,

& INTIMACY!

These women in The Bible had drama like us, they were courageous, and some were
prostitutes, some young and some old. However, they made it through life and were
recognized and loved by God!

Keep God 1st :) Read the various stories in The Bible about women and their trials!

Happiness?

Let me set-up this scenario for you! I was out at a Karaoke spot for a birthday gathering.
A guy that I knew from a theater project was there. Out of the blue he asked me a
question that astounded me and I didn't have the answer to it, right away!

He asked why was I so happy? What made me so happy? He told me I seemed like I
was a happy person. So in my mind I was like, what are you talking about? How do you
know I am a happy person, it aint like we know each other! And, why am “I” so happy?

So I asked him, "What do you mean?"

Because that was the most random thing you can ask someone in a Karaoke spot when
all you want to do is grab the mic and not have a care in the world.

He said because of my TWEETS on twitter! I was like Oooooohh! I forgot we
exchanged twitter names…so I did know him, kinda!

I was reminded of a few things.

1. What you put out on social network, is what people judge you by!
2. People are always watching you!
3. Depending on what you put out on these social networks people will look to you for
help.

Jesus in the temple at a Young Age (12) Luke 2: 41-52
Talking about setting an example! This guy I am sure is at the least 10 years older than
me. He said he wasn't happy and he wasn't happy with himself.

I just looked at him at first. Once again in my mind I was like: You never know what
people are feeling or going through, that's why you don't judge! Plus the Bible says
don't! Regarding judging! Matthew 7: 1-5

People will just say, and which is true, "It's the Love of God". But it is also the
realization that it is not about me-it is about God, totally! I told that guy it’s about loving
others, you know, living unselfishly.

Reasons to be HAPPY!
Psalms 37:4
Psalms 68:3
Psalms 128:2
Phillipians 4:4

I shared with him that people are so consumed with themselves that they forget the
people that helped them get to where they are and they forget to say something as
small as a "Thank You"! I told him I am a happy person because doing for others brings me joy.

I even wrote in a doodling drawing game: "It's Not About Me" then took a picture of it.
You know these iPhones can take screen shots. Then I made the picture my
background on my phone. To remind me every day!

But back to the lesson of it all: Be careful with social media, it’s starting to be used to
define the character of a person. If you can allow your light to Shine also known as
allowing people to see the God in you, Please do! God will reward your faithfulness.
Also, continue to set an example for others you never know who is watching you or
keeping up with you to see if you are living up to what you say, or they genuinely want
to learn from you.

I love you always hope this post inspires you like it inspires me. Keep God 1st Always!

Consequences

There are consequences for everything you do in life, period. Think about it! Literally,
look back over your years of life and look at the decisions you have made and look at
your current lifestyle. Do you like where you are? Is where you are lining up to where
you want to go? It is okay if where you are makes no sense. Some times in life that
happens when you are following God. But back to consequences!

Peer Pressure: Bible Reading- Matthew 4:1
I attended a skip party at someone’s apartment when I was a senior in high school.
Everyone was talking and laughing and then it began to get quiet and everyone was
glued to the TV. I was wondering what was on TV then I heard someone describing
what was on the television... It was pornography. I told my friends I was ready to go.
Someone was like, "Are you afraid to watch it?" Another person was like, "Are you a kid
or something?" I responded, "I am not into watching stuff like that! And I am ready to
go!" So I waited in the hallway and plans were being made to go to another place until
school was over then we left.

I stood my ground. It’s okay not to want to do what everyone else does even if you are
placed in a situation that is uncomfortable. You have to think for yourself and make your
own decisions it’s all a part of growing up!

Wanting to Experiment: Bible Reading: Proverbs 9:12
Drugs! I am not into. Sure drugs are everywhere now-a-days but that doesn't mean
participate. Say NO! Saying yes to that one time can change your life. Say NO, Every
time! Peer Pressure continues even when you are an adult.

Curiosity: Bible Reading-Genesis 19:26
It’s like a child touching a hot stove. (Curiosity killed the cat!? I don't know the origin or
whose cat was curious, but it sounds like that cat is no longer with us. Lol!) The child
finds out the hard way with a scar left on their hand. Now I know not to touch this red
orange circle. -___-! If someone older than you gives you advice on a situation and told
you what the possible outcome could be, LISTEN! Sure it’s generational to fall into the
same traps as our ancestors but it must stop! How about you being the one to weigh out
the consequences! Be the WISE ONE!

Learning from others: We have lost the commune
(to intimacy, etc.; interchange thoughts or feelings.) from the word communication! Positive
communication in every aspect of our lives is important!

Honor your Mother and Father! (Bible Reading- Ephesians 6:2) Our parent(s) or adult
figures in our lives share their experiences with us so that we don't make the same
mistakes they have made. Really hear what they have to say because a question you
may have can easily be answered by LISTENING and ACTING ON IT!

Maturing, sex, drugs, dating, food, healthy habits, success, or anything else out in this
world-they have been where you are, REMEMBER THAT!

It’s never too late to straighten up and begin to do the right thing! Weigh out what you
have done and what you need to do.
