Death: Replacement

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

All right, touchy subject! I was originally going to make this post about how to deal with death. I have had people close to me pass away and the people left alive are the ones that must deal... So breifly, its ok to mourn it's okay to remember the happy times, it’s okay to sit and cry out of the blue as long as you are not making the death the center of your world. Death, I was told is beautiful, it can be hurtful, and disgusting and detrimental, but it can also be a relief.

Deuteronomy 24:16 (KJV)
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

The Bible mentions death throughout. Here a few scriptures I am familiar with:

Isaiah 57:1 (KJV)
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

Ecclesiastes 3:4 (KJV)
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Psalm 30:11 (KJV)
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

These are referring to relieving a righteous person from evil, another is about timing, and still another is about rejoicing and being able to celebrate. Everything lines up regardless! We never know the cause unless God reveals it. If you ask the Father in heaven He will definitely let you know. :)

Revelation 20:14 (KJV)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Imagine not being able to die?! Play if you want to. #Thatisall

Now on to one of the greatest deaths ever!!!
OUR SAVIOR JESUS Christ! I have heard this gospel preached multiple times and I can not get tired of it. I remember a pastor expounding on how wonderful and gracious and priceless it is to send your first born child to save your corrupted creation (instead of flooding us, Thank God for the Rainbow in the Sky)! There is an amazing "Love" (agape love) involved to allow your only begotten Son to go through the ridicule, the pain, and death threats and temptations of the world, and of the “enemy”, which is satan.

Genesis 9:14&15 (KJV)
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

I often heard growing up that it’s going to be you against the world and that's because it was like that for Jesus. I was also told, you must stand for something or you will fall for anything!

The baby Jesus to be Crucified on the cross, and Jesus to rise on the third day! Jesus’ story is told within the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The first four books of the New Testament. They each expound on different parts of the life of our Savior Jesus Christ. Take time to read them. :) It will shock you like it astounds me. This story is sacrificially mentioned in the Old Testament as well; so read the entire Bible. (I'm still working on that myself!)

1 John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I don't know about you but over my life thus far I have heard: "Die to the Flesh"! It's like, What?! But it's saying don't yield to your flesh. Meaning, don't allow your flesh to make decisions. Ask God first, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.

We must daily drop our agendas and pick up Christ’s Cross and follow Him. The Fruits of the Spirit?!

Galatians 5:22 & 23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

We are to aim to be like Christ walking in Love, being Joyful, living with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Being able to suffer for a cause, gentle, good stewards, walking and operating in faith,
being meek and able to control ourselves in every area i.e., habits, temper, eating, emotionally, etc...

Galations 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of
the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Romans 6:11
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

To die unto sin is to make up in your mind and heart that you are going to do things the right way. Anyone can be bad because we were born into sin! Not many can be good. Just being good will not get you to Heaven, you must be saved and have a relationship with Christ.

Psalms 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

It's a daily fight! We walk through temptation every day. Jesus is the truth! We must repent and forgive daily!

Back to death: Baptism! "A watery grave", having an outward showing for the repentance of the remission (relinquishment) of our sins!

Romans 6:4 (KJV)
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Ephesians 4:5 (KJV)
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Great Bible reading about God's Saving Grace and leaving and returning:
The Prodigal Son Luke 15:11-31

Great Bible reading about a man who was raised from the dead:
Lazarus - Jesus said, "Come Forth"! John 11:1-46

Keep God at the forefront of your life and you can't go wrong. Jesus Died literally and Rose again in three days to save sinners like you and me. :)
